Photos may be used for non-commercial purposes as long as they are not modified and they are not claimed to be anyone's but mine. So, for example, you can use a photo as a "desktop background," you can print photos out and stick 'em on your wall or in a photo album, you can email them to your friends (although it would make more sense to just email the URL instead of the whole photo), you can keep them on your own storage device for your reference, or you can even post them on your website.
